LAURUS Development has a core of professional staff supplemented by qualified and trained associates delivering services across the UK. Leading a revolution in learning and development and responding to market determination, we apply visionary thinking in keeping pace with community justice sector.
Today, we are successfully delivering Learning and Development to over half of the 21 CRCs – from managing their learning and development to providing qualification assessment services in their Community Rehabilitation Company areas. This is extended to learning, development and qualifications that we deliver to Youth Offending Teams, Local Authority Community Safety Teams and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
Our plans for the next five years?
We have been visionary in our qualification and learning offerings to date which are responsive to the changing nature of practice across the community justice sector. We will continue to develop and support the sector – our ESFA approval as a Registered Training Provider places LAURUS in a great position to deliver the Level 3 and Level 6 Apprenticeships in probation and rehabilitation.
LAURUS aims to develop our collaborative and inclusive approach building on the support and commitment of the employers we work with in the delivery of training, learning and development in the community justice sector nationally.
Our experience in the Justice sector, as both front line practitioners and learning and development specialists, spans four decades. We hold dear our history and connection to the values which are the foundation of probation and rehabilitation. We use the lens of contemporary issues to reaffirm them. We take every opportunity to promote equality, diversity and inclusion with particular regard to our contribution to modelling and developing anti-racist practice.
We are a team of professionals. Our managers and staff have extensive knowledge and experience and are kept up to date through their Continuing Professional Development (CPD), standardisation and regular training. Through our experience of community justice we understand the value of excellent relationships with employers to encourage and support the best possible training and delivery models.
We are dedicated to continuous improvement. Quality, raising standards and continuous improvement are paramount in everything that we do. Through our partnerships with employers we aim to offer high quality courses and programmes that both challenge and stretch our learners. The quality of our delivery is a top priority and with robust quality checks and ongoing support, we are committed to assuring excellent provision for all of our learners.
We embrace change and will maintain a sense of fun. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from designing and delivering training solutions to incorporating new ways of making our programmes relevant, fun, meaningful and engaging in an ever-changing landscape and in challenging times.
We are customer focussed and will act with a sense of urgency. As an organisation with ambitions for further expansion, LAURUS is highly competitive; focusing on high levels of retention, achievement and outcomes for all. We see quality and the understanding of our business partners’ needs as fundamental to achieving this goal.
We provide training solutions for employers and learners designed to meet their needs, offering excellent value both financially and materially. We aim to continue with our reputation for having a positive impact on our learners.
