LAURUS Development has a core of professional staff supplemented by qualified and trained associates delivering services across the UK. Leading a revolution in learning and development and responding to market determination, we apply visionary thinking in keeping pace with Transforming Rehabilitation.
LAURUS Development emerged in 2013 from the former joint venture set up by the National Probation Service to provide training, learning and development in the justice sector.
This saw the set-up of the newly established staff mutual supporting Tier 1 organisations to develop their bids and subsequently the delivery of learning and development in Community Rehabilitation Companies.
Today, we are successfully delivering Learning and Development to over half of the 21 CRCs – from managing their learning and development to providing Qualification Assessment Services in their Community Rehabilitation Company areas. This is extended to learning, development and qualifications that we deliver to Youth Offending Teams, Local Authority Community Safety Teams and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
Our plans for the next five years?
We have been visionary in our qualification and learning offerings to date which are responsive to the changing nature of practice across the Community Justice sector. We will continue to develop and support the sector – our ESFA approval as a Registered Training Provider places LAURUS in a great position to deliver the Level 3 and Level 6 Apprenticeships in probation and rehabilitation currently being developed.
To deliver innovative and cost effective learning and development interventions to our customers.
