Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is important for all organisations to ensure staff keep skills updated and refresh areas of practice. We live in a world where information is readily available, but staff can’t always afford time to relate this to practice.
Organisations need to be aware of the requirements of refresher training periodically in key practice areas such as safeguarding, risk assessment and engagement. However, CPD can take various forms from reading articles/blogs, action learning, attending innovative events and engaging with social media.
LAURUS can support you in devising practical approaches to staff CPD through bespoke learning. Our Open Events (new for 2019) will provide up to date information, linked to HMIP audit findings and best practice in the sector, but will also introduce innovation from other sectors. We are also very excited about the development of the LAURUS app to facilitate accessible “bitesize” information to stimulate knowledge generation across the sector.
