Often the first point of contact for an offender, the role of the reception and administrative staff is important in building the effectiveness of interventions with offenders. This training seeks to identify how you can be more effective in engaging with offenders and visitors. It discusses the desistance framework and how you contribute to your organisation’s goals as well as exploring your contribution to risk management. It also explores engagement techniques which may assist you when dealing with offenders.
