PROBATION ASSESSOR TRAINING
Qualifying Experienced Probation Officers as Assessors
In delivering the PQiP qualification, LAURUS works with experienced Probation Officers delivering training and qualification in respect of qualification assessment. We train, develop and qualify individuals identified to assess the Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice. The required qualification is the Level 3 Award in Assessing competence in the work environment which is suitable for learners who must be fully competent practitioners and where applicable, hold the relevant practitioner qualifications in the work area in which they are seeking to become assessors. There are no pre-entry requirements for this award.
Experienced assessors may go on to achieve the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of assessment processes and practices which is suitable for learners who must be fully knowledgeable and where applicable, hold the relevant practitioner qualifications in the work area in which they are seeking to become Internal Quality Assurers. There are no pre-entry requirements for this award.
