SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

1 Day Event

All practitioners working in rehabilitation services should have access to multi-agency Safeguarding children training provided by their local authority.  In addition to this, you are also required to attend training provided by your own agency in this vital area of practice knowledge.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise what constitutes child abuse and how to identify it.

  • Consider good practice in the procedures for Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children.

  • Identify how we all contribute to safeguarding children.

  • Identify key responsibilities and considerations in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.

This 1 day course is aimed at practitioners and it is essential for all new starters.  It is advised that this training is completed by way of refresher on a 3 yearly basis.
