SENTENCING AND REHABILITATION ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS (RARS) INCLU. GOOD PRACTICE IN CASE RECORDING, BREACH AND ENFORCEMENT

1 Day Event

It is vital to understand where the work of a CRC comes from and how legislation and the court process informs your work.  In this training you will explore how offenders are sentenced and how cases are allocated to you.  You will also explore what constitutes good practice if you ever have to consider breach and enforcement.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify how cases are managed at pre-sentence stage and how sentencing decisions are made.

  • Identify the processes used for allocation of cases to CRCs.

  • Identify the impact of RARs on rehabilitation services offered.

  • Identify the essential information required in high quality, concise but meaningful case records; especially when updating records remotely.

  • Identity what constitutes a breach.

  • Produce high quality breach packs which achieve the results you desire.

This 1 day course is aimed at all practitioners and is essential for all new starters.  Please note that this course would need to be adapted to ensure locally specific processes are taken into account.
