SKILLS FOR EFFECTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (SEEDS) FOLLOW-UP TRAINING

2 Day Event

Prerequisite: This course builds on the 3 day Skills for Effective Engagement Development Training. Learners should have previously undertaken this.

As part of the NOMS led Offender Engagement Programme, the Skills for Effective Engagement and Development framework was introduced focussing on developing practitioner skills and practice in working with offenders.  This training aims to continue the learning developed on the SEEDS for practitioner event while introducing further techniques for relationship building.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Use socratic questioning to support solution focused approaches.

  • Explore core beliefs and negative assumptions.

  • Identify brain friendly learning techniques.

  • Identify the dynamics of successfully ending relationships.

This 2 day course is aimed at practitioner staff in areas where a CRC has chosen to adopt the SEEDS approach to practice improvement and where the 3 day SEEDS practitioner training has previously been completed.
